Family Fun on the Water

By sugarhollow
Recently the Robertson family joined us for a three day family vacation. Besides hanging out together in the Sequoia Cottage they enjoyed hiking on our trails and observing the wildlife on our 300 acre property. The highpoint of the trip was the time spent fishing with Judson Conway owner of Elk Creek Outfitters. The weather was cool but fish action was hot. Shown are Isaac and Dillon Robertson and their Guide Judson Conway with a couple of  their prize catches of the day..

Cool Place for a Corporate Retreat

By SHR
I have to be honest and say that I was not looking forward to the company retreat our HR department decided to put together. The last thing I wanted was to take time out of my busy schedule to go out to some mountain retreat center and "get to know" my co-workers better.

My Mountain Wedding

By SHR
My parents thought I was crazy when I said I wanted a destination wedding. Their first thoughts were of Paris, Italy, or some exotic destination. Lucky for them I am an outdoors kind of girl and wanted to have my wedding day somewhere that was intimate, and close to nature. A few years back, I went to Sugar Hollow Retreat for a church trip and it kept coming to mind when I was thinking of destinations for the wedding. I loved the mountains, I loved the area around Sugar Hollow and I finally decided to give them a call to see what could be arranged.

By SHR
It seems as though it has been ages since you've seen cousin Barb and her little ones (who aren't so little anymore), or gotten the chance to catch up on family gossip with the rest of the family. Why not take the bull by the horns and plan a good, old-fashioned family reunion. This may seem like a very daunting task to undertake, but we promise, it will be worth it - after all, family is family. Let us break down the steps you need to take to get the ball rolling and we look forward to seeing you and the crew here soon.

Bristol Motor Speedway Fans Welcome

Sugar Hollow Retreat is a popular destination for NASCAR fans traveling to the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee in March and August. We offer race fans a relaxing, natural atmosphere – a perfect contrast to the excitement of the world's fastest half mile.

Or, if kicking back in a rocking chair waiting for the smell of scorched rubber and the roar of engines isn't your speed, there's plenty more to do. Try fishing, white water rafting, deer and turkey-watching, and horseback riding. How about golf, hiking, and biking? All of these activities and more are available on or near our 300-acre retreat.

Our lodgings are casual upscale and set among the beautiful rolling forests of the Appalachians.

UPDATE: We still have two rooms available for the August race weekend!

Event Planner's Special

Now is the time of the year when groups make decisions on where to stay for their next big event. If you have been given the assignment of researching facilities, let us simplify your task. Our 10 bedroom lodge is great for groups up to 30 and we can accommodate another 40 in our 4 other guesthouses. We also allow camping for additional guest who like the outdoors.

Our price packaging is very simple. All we need to know is how many people, who will share rooms and beds and how many nights you require. Based on this information we can determine which combination of units will work best for you and give your group a lodging package price with significant price reductions. If you need help with meals, services and activities, we can assist in planning your event as well.
