Recently the Robertson family joined us for a three day family vacation. Besides hanging out together in the Sequoia Cottage they enjoyed hiking on our trails and observing the wildlife on our 300 acre property. The highpoint of the trip was the time spent fishing with Judson Conway owner of Elk Creek Outfitters. The weather was cool but fish action was hot. Shown are Isaac and Dillon Robertson and their Guide Judson Conway with a couple of their prize catches of the day..

I have to be honest and say that I was not looking forward to the company retreat our HR department decided to put together. The last thing I wanted was to take time out of my busy schedule to go out to some mountain retreat center and "get to know" my co-workers better.

My parents thought I was crazy when I said I wanted a destination wedding. Their first thoughts were of Paris, Italy, or some exotic destination. Lucky for them I am an outdoors kind of girl and wanted to have my wedding day somewhere that was intimate, and close to nature.
A few years back, I went to Sugar Hollow Retreat for a church trip and it kept coming to mind when I was thinking of destinations for the wedding. I loved the mountains, I loved the area around Sugar Hollow and I finally decided to give them a call to see what could be arranged.

It seems as though it has been ages since you've seen cousin Barb and her little ones (who aren't so little anymore), or gotten the chance to catch up on family gossip with the rest of the family. Why not take the bull by the horns and plan a good, old-fashioned family reunion.
This may seem like a very daunting task to undertake, but we promise, it will be worth it - after all, family is family. Let us break down the steps you need to take to get the ball rolling and we look forward to seeing you and the crew here soon.

Church retreats are a great way to encourage individuals and couples to develop a closer relationship with God - as well as with other humans. When planning a church retreat, it is very important to keep in mind the people you are serving through your program and no matter what your budget, or the length of the program, it is imperative to have great content. The best way to do this can be with interviews with church members, or through already published materials available at religious bookstores.
